Cidan’s box-and-pan folder model MULTIKANT has segmented rails in clamping beam, in lower beam, and in folding beam. With this tooling combination it is easy and quick to fold boxes and profiles – also with bendings in opposite angles to each other.

MULTIKANT is available in 2 executions.

In the standard execution the tools are mounted in the clamping beam by a clamping rail.

In the execution with quick change of toolings the segments are fitted without any use of tools. Just press down the individual segment – and you can move or remove it.

Clamping beam rail and lower beam rail have right and left horns.

Lower beam and folding beam have recesses right and left.

Pre-stress of the folding rail can be adjusted by and adjustment screw to compensate spring back of material.

For most folding tasks the clamping beam is only opened 2-3 mm (1/8”) to move the sheet. Therefore, on each side of the side frame a pedal is placed, allowing the clamping beam to open max. 6-7 mm (¼”).

Clamping beam and folding beam are gas spring assisted.

The clamping pressure can be adjusted by means of an adjusting eccentric.

On its rear side the machine has a tool box for storing of the segments that are not in use. The cover has a built-in back gauge 50-400 mm (2-15”). As an option a rack-and-pinion back gauge 50-500 mm (2-19”) can be supplied.

For model MULTIKANT we offer a flying shear with which the machine can also be used as a shear.

Model MULTIKANT can be supplied with transport wheels.
